Self contained

An ideal place to stay during your recording project is in our fully self-contained cottage with independent kitchen and bathroom facilities. This is a short stroll down to the main straw bale recording studio facility.

Eco-friendly

The whole property is powered by a stand-alone solar system. The thermal and acoustic properties of the strawbale house and studio are highly effective. All water is gravity fed pure rainwater and all waste is treated by an external worm composting system.

Design

All the buildings at Sanctuary Sound are owner designed and built with an emphasis on blending with the local landscape, using local materials and creating sustainable creative environments to live and work in.

At SSS we believe it is important to stay connected to the surrounding enviroment whilst working creatively which helps to maintain a balanced perspective.

Wildlife

The indigenous native forest plays host to a wide variety of flora and fauna with around 200 different plant species identified so far and a large variety of animal and birdlife including wallabies, echidnas, bandicoots, sugargliders, yellowbellied gliders to name a few.Click here to see more media and information .

Lyrebirds

We are priverlidged to listen to the wonderous sound of Lyrebirds almost every day which often appear close by.
